about or feel even stronger towards now than you did 4 months ago. Why? Discuss.
The following is a paragraph written by me regarding one of our class topics. I do not necessarily
agree with myself, but critique my thoughts with your own opinions and knowledge regarding the

American political participation is fine where it is. Right now, only older people and passionate
young people vote. This is exactly how it should be because I don’t want our country being run by
people who don’t know what they are talking about. If you are older, then chances are you know
more about politics, or at least have more responsibility regarding political outcomes. If you are
young and passionate, you must have spent time studying your issues. Also, it is harder to run a
campaign if more people are voting because it is hard to say “all the right things” to so many
people. Let the people who care about politics be involved and everyone else should stay out of it.
Finally, if I were running for office, I would only speak to the people who I know are going to
vote for me, that way when I am elected, I don’t have to worry about pleasing the other side,
since they didn’t for me anyways.
