3. Consider what type of data is produced by the summative evaluation tool. This will be important in what statistical studies can be used for data analysis.
4. Determine appropriate statistical analysis methods. You may want to consult with the CCN statistician (fee for service) or the nurse researcher at your facility.
Example: you have selected the pre-test/post- test design. You plan to use descriptive statistics (mean SD range of scores) and the paired t-test for statistical analysis of your data. You plan to perform statistical analysis using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).
