Cristina, who is also 19 years old, lives with her mother and 18 month old son in Hyattsville, Maryland. Cristina’s first language is Spanish and she is proud to be a Mexican American. Cristina works 2 jobs in Temple Hills, Maryland (fast food and elder care) and makes $17,500.00 per year. She dropped out of high school when she was pregnant with her son. However, she would like to get her GED and some additional training at the local community college, so she could obtain a better job. She also wonders whether she should join the armed forces in order to have a better life for her and her son. This Counseling Center at the local community college offers career advice and administered the WAIS-IV to Cristina as part of their career assessment battery.
