What has motivated me to look into persuing a career as a physician assistant. My motivation for wanting to pursue PA is due in large part to my interaction with PA’s over the past 5 years as an OT assistant. I have seen first-hand their role in implementing treatment for

patients with medical complexities. I admire their relentlessness in finding the most adequate and effective treatment for each individual pt. Also I enjoy working in healthcare and always have.

My dream is to one day be in the position to give back medical services to my community and to the patients whom i serve.
(1) My motivation to becoming a PA has been influenced my many factors. Including but not limited to coming from a poor background. This has been a great driving force in my pursuit of

wanting to major in something
medical so that I can help in giving back to my community. In addition to this, I have always been intrigued by the medical professions. I feel that it is one of few professions which is

undoubtedly essential in helping save and
protect lives all over the world. Doctors, nurses, and PA’s alike, have one of the greatest responsibilities to mankind. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to become a part of sharing

that responsibility. That desire to
help others, coupled with my poor background, has really motivated me to work hard in pursuing the opportunity to become a PA. When I hear of naturally disasters in our communities as well as

overseas, more than anything
else, I’ve always wished that I could be there helping. My goal is to make this wish a reality.

(2) Over the past six years, I have worked as an Occupational Therapist Assistant. During this time, I’ve worked with many individuals who present with medical complexities, which beyond the

delivery of skilled rehab
services, I’ve always wanted a direct hand in treating. In addition to this, when I travel oversea to Africa, seeing some of the medical conditions which people are in, serves as a reminder about

the dire need for more health
care professionals who can make a difference in helping to manage those conditions.
